About our Puppies

Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our family.  We follow the Puppy Culture program, providing Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), enrichment, socialization, the communication trinity, and problem prevention. This ensures our puppies have the skills and abilities to adapt, learn, and take on the world. They'll be exposed to new people, children, other dogs, and have the opportunity to romp in the forest and dip their toes in the pond.

By the time they head to their new homes at 8 weeks of age, they will have had beginning crate training and potty training, gone on car rides, and (weather permitting) exposure to water and birds.

Puppies will have been wormed, received their first vet visits and vaccinations, and registered with both AKC and NAVHDA.  Tails are docked and dew claws removed at 3-4 days of age.  All puppies will also be microchipped.

Getting a SureShot Puppy

If you are interested in a SureShot puppy, please read about us and our Breeding Philosophy.  If you think we sound like a good match, Contact Us to express your interest in an upcoming litter.  We'd love to chat with you, and if possible meet you and have you meet our dogs!  Do remember that Weimaraners are a Versatile hunting breed.  If you are looking for a companion dog, please check out the Weimaraner Club of America Breeder Referral.  If we are a match for one another, we'd love to add you to our waiting list.

Please know that you will likely have to wait 6 months to a year for a puppy, especially for a well bred puppy from a reputable breeder.  This was the case before COVID-19, and demand has done nothing but increase.  Our breeding program, and the quality of the puppies we produce, is simply a passion.  We generally only produce 1 litter per year so that we can devote our time and attention to that litter, and our own dogs.

Once puppies are born, we may request a deposit to hold your puppy.  Puppies are ready to go to their new homes no sooner than 8 weeks of age, and are available for pickup at our home in West Valley, NY, just south of Buffalo.  We love having prospective families meet the puppies, and you are welcome to come for visits beginning at around 5 weeks of age.  While we know it is easy to fall in love with a particular puppy, and we will certainly take your preferences into consideration, we feel it is important for us to make the final puppy placements.  We know their individual personalities intricately, and work tirelessly to evaluate and place pups into the home most suited for them and their new family.

At 8 weeks, puppies will go home with a collar and leash, a bag of Loyall Professional food, vet records (checkup and vaccines), health guarantee, Purchase Contract, and AKC and NAVHDA registrations.

SureShot Family

Getting a SureShot puppy makes you a part of the extended SureShot family.  We are invested in the puppies we produce, our puppy owners, and the relationship you build together.

We are here for you for the lifetime of your dog and beyond to provide support, guidance, and mentorship.  It wasn't that long ago that we were new to the breed, versatile dogs, hunting, and performance activities.  We're beyond grateful to those who mentored and believed in us, and now have the opportunity to pay it forward.

We are active in NAVHDA, AKC Field events, and obedience, and hunt our dogs every opportunity we get.

We love seeing our puppies succeed in any venue they try, and most importantly, becoming a loved member of your family.

If you're new to any of these venues but would like support, please reach out!
